When you’re searching for places to visit that are going to make your Instagram feed come alive, there is no better place to settle upon than Morocco. Morocco is filled with gorgeous backdrops and perfect photo ops – but with so many options, it can be hard to pick the best ones when you may have limited time to explore. So, today I’m going to give you a list of the 10 most instagrammable places to visit in Morocco, so you’ll know exactly where I go to grab perfect pictures for my Insta feed!
Riad Be Marrakech
First on our list is the Riad Be Marrakech, a gorgeous boutique hotel located not far from Jemaa el Fna. The two pools here are picture-perfect spots for your photos, providing elegant and stunning backdrops showcasing authentic Moroccan culture. Check out the views around the pools at every angle, so you’ll have an amazing collection of photos to add to your Instagram.
The Sahara Desert may not seem like a very Instagram worthy backdrop at first, but don’t be fooled! Take your pictures in one of the luxury camps, on a fun camel ride, or of the extraordinary views of the sand dunes. Sunset and sunrise are prime time here fo incredible memories (and perfect lighting for photos!).
Located in the medina in Marrakesh, you definitely want to check out the Restaurant Nomad on your trip to Morocco. Day or night, the gorgeous decor and stunning views of medina from the restaurant are perfect for photos. The best time of the day here is during sunset!
Es Saadi Marrakesh Resort
Another palace you’ll want to add to your list for this trip is the Es Saadi Marrakesh Resort. There are so many photo opportunities here but my absolute favorite are the spa pool and the private blue villa!
Souks in the Medina in Marrakesh
If you’ve seen pictures of Morocco before, you’re sure to have seen the gorgeous souks of various kinds — lanterns, pottery, spices, leather and much, much more! You can find them everywhere but I highly recommend grabbing your photos at the lantern and colorful pottery souks in the medina in Marrakesh. Here you’ll find unique and stunning shots that will captivate your Instagram audience – and you’ll definitely want to check out the glow of the lanterns as evening descends on the city – the sight is simply spectacular.
La Sultana Hotels
Riads are great photo opportunities in Morocco – there are SO many cute ones. The Sultana Hotels are a collection of luxury riads (7 of them all connected, each with its own theme) nestled in historic luxury. Take your Instagram shots early in the morning as the sun comes up, on a beautiful sunny day, or as the sun is setting. You won’t be disappointed in how beautiful and different from each other each internal garden is!
Chouara Tannery located in Fez is the largest tannery in the city, built in the 11th century. So, you know the architecture is going to be an amazing sight – and it is! Grab unique shots of the dyeing vats and take rooftop pics of the city and the gorgeous Moroccan culture that surrounds this area. The vibrant colors in the vats below from the rooftops will brighten up your Insta feed a give your followers a unique perspective of Moroccan culture. But be prepared for the real bad smell coming from the bird poop pools that they use to treat the leather down there!
Chefchaouene – the Blue City
When I think of Morocco, the blue city comes to mind. Blue is a color dominating the views throughout Morocco, from the buildings to the pools and water. The Blue City, Chefchaouene, is the last place on our list and one of the most spectacular views to behold in Morocco. Blue-washed buildings, cobbled streets, and historic landmarks throughout the city are going to provide you with some of the best pictures you’ll ever take for your Instagram feed! Make sure you wear (and bring) some gorgeous outfits if you’re planning on taking pictures of yourself against the beautiful blue backdrops!
I love going to Morocco, and I know you will too. Use my list to plan an unforgettable trip and countless instagrammable moments to bring your feed to life and leave your followers awed and excited to see more of what you have to offer them!
